Peer Review & Plagiarism
Peer Review Policies
Peer review is a very essential process to make sure that only legitimate and good quality research articles are published and to motivate ethical researchers.
All the research articles submitted to IJIMR are double-blind peer reviewed. In this process, reviewers and researchers/authors do not know each other, which helps ensure unbiased review.
As we have reviewers from different countries and disciplines, they can review research articles from various academic fields and spoken languages.
We follow publication ethics guidelines and request editors to strictly follow the editorial standards proposed by CoPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Editors and reviewers are responsible for ensuring that publication rules and ethical guidelines are properly followed by researchers and authors.
Detailed guidelines for editors and reviewers can be found in the official CoPE document.
Review and Publication Process
One of our editors, generally related to the discipline of the submitted research work, quickly reviews the research article.
The research article may be rejected without peer review if it is not found to be of sufficient quality. This helps authors receive a quick decision.
After the initial overview, the research article is sent to a reviewer who has expertise in the related subject and language.
The reviewer evaluates the research paper based on the following criteria:
Relevance of Title and Research Article
Scholarly Quality
Continuity in the Article
Use of Theory
Novelty and Originality
Technical Contents and Correctness
Understanding and Illustrations
Critical Qualities
Quality of References
Clarity of Conclusions
The article may be sent back to the authors for revision if the reviewer suggests changes.
Authors must complete revisions within one month. Otherwise, the research paper will need to be submitted again as a new submission.
Research articles are accepted for publication if the total review score is greater than or equal to 75%.
After successful peer review, one of the editors performs final editing if required before the article is officially published.
Plagiarism Policies
When research articles are submitted, plagiarism may appear because of copied content from one or more referenced or unreferenced sources and lack of original research ideas or conclusions.
To ensure original and high-quality research, we use plagiarism detection software to check submitted manuscripts.
We use TurnItIn services for plagiarism detection. It checks references mentioned in research papers and compares content with various online sources for duplication.
Research articles having more than 20% plagiarism are not published, and authors are informed along with the plagiarism analysis report.
